RSS receives bomb threat in Maharashtra

Security has been beefed up at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters in Maharashtra’s Nagpur on Saturday after an unidentified person threatened to blow it up with a bomb. Police officer Gorakh Bhamre said that at one o’clock in the afternoon, an unknown person called the police control room and threatened to blow up the RSS headquarters.

After receiving the threat, the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) and sniffer dogs were called in and a thorough search of the premises was carried out, but nothing suspicious was found, he said. Patrolling has been increased as a precautionary measure, the official said. Police are trying to identify the caller.

Bomb blast threat in Mumbai

At the same time, on December 31, a bomb blast was threatened in the city by calling the control room of the Mumbai Police. According to the police, the caller said that he had weapons and RDX. The threatening person said that he is a resident of Uttar Pradesh and his name is Azhar. Police investigation revealed that a person named Narendra Kavle had made the call in an inebriated state. Police said that along with arresting the caller, a case has been registered against him.
