Just the days ahead of the foundation laying ceremony of the new Parliament building, the Supreme Court expressed its displeasure with the manner in which the Central government is going ahead with construction work under the Central Vista project.
After hearing a bunch of petitions, the Supreme Court said that no constructions and demolition work shall take place at the site.
However, the court allowed the centre to go ahead with the foundation laying ceremony of the central vistas project. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone on December 10 for the new parliament building.
