Amarnath Yatra

Amarnath Yatra: Security agencies are on high alert ahead of the Amarnath Yatra. According to information, Pakistan-based terrorists are planning a terror attack on the yatra in Jammu and Kashmir. Sources said that terrorists might disrupt the Amarnath Yatra convoy and for this they may target security forces and the yatra.

Two Kashmiris , Rafiq Nai and Mohammad Amin Butt alias Abu Khubaib, have been given the responsibility of attacking the Amarnath Yatra, said sources. Both are based in Pakistan.

Terror activities planned

Rafiq Nai and Mohammad Amin Butt have also been assigned the task of carrying out terror activities in the Rajouri-Poonch, Pir Panjal and Chenab Valley areas.

Rafiq Nai is a resident of Mendhar in Poonch district, while Khubaib is a resident of Doda district. At present, both are operating from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Security agencies are constantly keeping a strict vigil on Khubaib’s house where his family still lives. They suspect that his family members may be in constant contact with him.

According to sources, Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI has given the task to carry out terror activities in the Jammu region to the two terrorists.

Sources said the terrorists are contacting youths of Doda and Poonch through social media and push them into terror. It is part of their covert plan to increase the numbers of over ground workers (OGWs). The terrorists are making every possible effort to push young people on the path of terror.

The two terrorists are locals and hence familiar with all the routes. Due to this, security agencies are on alert around border areas.
