Samyukta Kisan Morcha steps up to join agitating wrestlers

According to a Samyukta Kisan Morcha statement, several leaders of the organisation from Punjab, Delhi, and Haryana will march toward the national capital to join the wrestlers’ agitation at Jantar Mantar on Sunday.

Wrestlers have been protesting at Jantar Mantar for over 10 days as they demand the arrest of Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh and his sacking from the post in the light of allegations of sexual harassment by the wrestlers.

The farmers have also demanded the immediate arrest of the WFI chief as they join the protests. The farmers union will organise a pan-India agitation from May 11-18 in all state capitals and district headquarters.
