Shivraj Singh Chouhan Announces Release of PM Kisan Nidhi 22nd Installment

The PM-KISAN scheme provides direct income support to eligible farmers, helping them meet agricultural expenses and support their livelihoods.

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 22nd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) on March 13.

According to Chouhan, the Prime Minister will transfer more than ₹18,640 crore directly into the bank accounts of over 9.32 crore farmers across India. The funds will be released during an event in Guwahati, which he described as the sacred land of Kamakhya Temple.

The minister said the financial support under the PM-KISAN scheme represents recognition of farmers’ hard work, respect for the soil, and assurance for the future of the agricultural community.

He added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the scheme has become an important initiative aimed at strengthening farmers financially while improving the overall agricultural ecosystem.
