Sreenivasan Jain: Senior journalist and NDTV’s Group Editor Sreenivasan Jain has stepped down from his post on Saturday, ending his three-decade-long association with the national news channel. The move comes after the Adani takeover of the company in November 2022, post which renowned journalist Ravish Kumar has also turned in his papers.

Sreenivasan Jain resigns from NDTV
Sreenivasan Jain announced his resignation via Twitter amid the Adani take-over. “Hi all. An amazing, nearly three-decade-long run at NDTV comes to an end today. The decision to resign wasn’t easy, but .. it is what it is. More later,” he tweeted. Many netizens were taken aback by his decision, with many thanking him for his contribution to the field of journalism.
“You integrity as a journalist, your consistent emphasis on reporting rather than opinion, have always been inspiring. And will definitely continue to do so in your new journey,’ wrote one person, while another wrote, “Thanks for the amazing work you and your team did. All the best for whatever lies ahead."
Sreenivasan Jain’s resignation came after journalist Ravish Kumar and senior executives of NDTV, including Group President Suparna Singh, quit over the last few months amid Adani Group’s takeover of the channel. NDTV founders Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy also announced their departure from the company in December.
Meanwhile, Adani Group has been at the helm of controversy after a US based research institute claimed disparity in the funds just ahead of the opening of its FPO.
