Srinagar: A terrorist has been killed by the security forces

In Jammu and Kashmir, an encounter started between security forces and terrorists in Hajin area of Bandipora district of North Kashmir this morning. In this encounter, a terrorist has been killed by the security forces. IGP Kashmir informed that the slain terrorist has been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar, a member of the banned terrorist organization Lashkar (TRF). He was involved in the recent civilian killings in Shahgund Bandipora.

At the same time, Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh said that two terrorists have been killed in two separate operations in Anantnag and Bandipora last night. One of these terrorists has been identified as Imtiyaz Ahmed Dar. Kashmir Zone Police had told that the encounter started this morning in Gund Jahangir area of Bandipora. In Bandipora, the Jammu and Kashmir Police busted ‘The Resistance Front’, a branch of Lashkar-e-Taiba. After this, the police arrested four terrorist associates involved in the conspiracy behind the murder of a civilian, Mohammad Shafi Lone.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police had said that the arrested terrorist associates have been identified as Tariq Ahmed Dar, Mohammad Shafi Dar, Mudasir Hasan Lone and Bilal Ah Dar. The Lashkar (TRF) module of Shahgund in Hajin area had conspired to carry out the nefarious plan.

A group of Muslim community on Sunday held a peaceful protest march in the Lal Chowk area of Srinagar against the recent killings of minorities in the Kashmir Valley and Pakistan-backed terrorism.
