Srinagar: Army Dog Continued Despite Gunfire, helps in the Killing Two Terrorists

Srinagar: During a confrontation between security personnel and terrorists on Monday in the Jammu and Kashmir area of Anantnag, an Army attack dog was gravely hurt, according to officials.
After obtaining specific information regarding the presence of terrorists there, security personnel conducted a cordon and search operation in the Tangpawa neighbourhood of the south Kashmir state late on Sunday night.

According to the officials, the army dispatched Zoom, its assault dog, inside the house where the terrorists were hiding out on Monday morning.

“Zoom is a fierce, dedicated, and well-trained dog. has received training to find and neutralise terrorists, “they claimed.

They said that Zoom had taken involved in a number of ongoing operations in south Kashmir.

As usual, Zoom was tasked with clearing the home where terrorists were holed up on Monday, they claimed.

The dog was shot twice during the procedure, the officials said, and was left in critical condition.

The terrorists were “recognised and confronted by Zoom, who was shot twice,” according to the report.

However, according to the authorities, the dog continued to fight and carry out his mission, which led to the death of two terrorists.

They said, “Despite suffering serious wounds, the courageous soldier carried out his mission, neutralising two terrorists.”

The canine is currently receiving treatment at the Army’s Vet Hospital in this city, according to the officials. Zoom was rushed there.

Two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were killed in the encounter, while as many soldiers were also injured.
