Strong tremors in Delhi, NCR as 5.8 magnitude earthquake strike Nepal

Delhi: On Tuesday afternoon, there were significant tremors felt in the capital city and surrounding areas. Around 2.30 p.m., tremors were felt throughout Delhi-NCR, and after the earthquake, people shared videos of household items like ceiling fans and furniture shuddering.

National Seismological Center released reports

According to the National Seismological Center, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 jolted Nepal during the tremors.Meanwhile, many people in the national capital area tweeted that they had experienced strong tremors.

Northern states witnessed tremors as an earthquake last year

A 5.4-magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal, 212 km southeast of Joshimath in Uttarakhand, last November caused tremors to be felt in Delhi, the National Capital Region, and some other northern states.
