Sunday lockdown in Uttar Pradesh, second ‘No Mask’ fine up to Rs. 10,000

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced Sunday lockdown in the entire state owing to the rising cases of the second COVID wave in the nation.

The state of Uttar Pradesh has reported it’s highest ever single day COVID surge yesterday with more than 22 thousand fresh cases.

Yesterday, UP government has also increased the night curfew timings to 8 PM to 7 AM.

“Corona curfew to be effective from 8 pm to 7 am in all 10 districts with more than 2,000 active cases including Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Kanpur Nagar, Gautam Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Gorakhpur,” tweeted Yogi Adityanath on Thursday.

Yogi government has also ordered No mask fine for the first time. Now, people caught without mask will be fined Rs. 1000 for first time and Rs. 10000 for second time.

Meanwhile, the nation reported more than 2 lakh and 18 thousand new cases of COVID-19 which the highest since the pandemic broke in. The rising cases of coronavirus are a matter of concern in the entire nation as the cases are not stopping.
