Supreme Court has asked how Baba Ramdev can misuse other medical systems? The court wants to know that how can he guarantee that he can cure all diseases?
The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has filed a petition on the advertisement given by Baba Ramdev against allopathy, on which the court has commented.
Supreme Court has issued notice to Baba Ramdev and sought a reply in 4 weeks. The Supreme Court has expressed displeasure over Baba Ramdev’s remarks against allopathic medicines and vaccination. A bench of Justices Hima Kohli and CT Ravikumar has issued notices to the Central Government, Ministry of Health, Advertising Standards Council of India and Ramdev’s company.
Campaign launched against vaccination
The Chief Justice of India has said that what has happened to Baba Ramdev? We respect him for popularizing yoga, but he should not question other methods of treatment. They should avoid criticizing others. The IMA, in its petition, alleged that the vaccination campaign and campaign against modern medicines were being run in the country.
Delhi High Court also reprimanded Ramdev
Earlier, Baba Ramdev was also reprimanded by the Delhi High Court. The court had said that they should not mislead people by making statements against allopathy. Ramdev had said that even after getting the vaccine, US President Joe Biden got the corona virus, this is a failure of medical science. On this, the court said that your statement can affect our relations with other countries.
Justice Anoop J. Bhambhani had said that as I said in the beginning, my concern is only one. You are welcome, you have followers, you have your own discipline, people believe what you say. But don’t mislead you people, if you don’t say it is more than official. Ramdev is accused of blaming allopathy for more deaths due to corona.
