PM Narendra Modi: A Surat goldsmith fashioned an 18-carat gold bust of Prime Minister Narendra Modi weighing 156 g. Basant Bohra, a goldsmith from Rajasthan who has been in Surat for the last 20 years, is the owner of Radhika chains, a Veli Beli brand product. The bust, which is 4.5 inches long and 3 inches wide, weighs 156 grams, a nod to the 156 seats gained by the BJP in the recently concluded Assembly elections, according to Bohra.
Bohra provided additional information, stating, "The bust of PM Narendra Modi was made in my factory over the course of about 3 months by 15 artisans and designers. We were monitoring the progress of the job on a daily basis."
The bust of PM Narendra Modi was completed in december
By December, the product was complete. However, after the election results were published on December 8, the jewellers and his team made changes to the sculpture. After the final product, the weight of bust was 156gram. Bohra, who claims to be a fan of the Prime Minister, alleges that they spent roughly Rs 10.5 lakh on the bust.
The price of the bust is Rs. 11 lakh
"One of my friends wanted to buy the bust after seeing images and videos of it on social media. We spent approximately Rs. 10.50 lakh and kept the price at Rs 11 lakh. My friend said he'd give it to PM Modi," he continued.
