Tamil Nadu government sets up Welfare board for fireworks

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu E Palaniswamy stated that a Welfare board for fireworks industry workers will be established in the state.

The CM said the intention of the state government is to ensure that the fireworks industry should function continuously.

The Chief Minister added that more than four lakh fireworks industry workers will be benefitted from the welfare board. Palaniswami's government has also written to the chief ministers of the other states to lift the ban on fireworks.
