Teachers’ Day 2022: Watch these Top 6 films to reframe the student-teacher bond, videos here

Teachers’ Day 2022: The role of a teacher has evolved over time, as depicted in films. Our mentors and teachers have a major effect on how we live. On this Teachers’ Day, we’ve compiled a list of Netflix filma and mentors who have influenced us.

Taare Zameen Par

This Aamir Khan and Amol Gupte contemporary classic addressed the complex issue of learning disabilities in a straightforward, affecting, and educational manner that was not preachy. However, the film subtly criticises a hurtful educational system and parents who desire all of their children to be successful academically without taking the effort to recognise their unique talents. The film was also a poetic examination of a child’s creativity and imagination which are not adequately fostered by traditional schooling techniques or even within academically focused families. Darsheel Safari delivered a moving performance as a dyslexic schoolboy. The film demonstrated how art and compassion can help children grow.

Throughout her playing career, cricket star Mithali Raj faces hatred both at home and on the field, as documented in this Netflix documentary. Vijay Raaz plays Sampath, a strict trainer who gives Mithali strength and inspiration in the biopic. It shows how Sampath’s observation of her while she was performing Bharatnatyam turned her life and led to her becoming the youngest captain of the Indian women’s cricket team.

Super 30

In comparison to many contemporary documentaries about students and teachers that focus on elite educational institutions, Super 30 proved the great potential of underprivileged kids who do not enjoy the benefits that their more affluent counterparts take for granted. It also revealed faults in the educational system that inhibit some members of society from enlisting in specialised preparatory courses or earning a degree from a top school. The film is based on the true story of Anand Kumar, a mathematics educator and instructor who took it upon himself to educate underprivileged students and turn them into inspired IIT candidates and academic achievers.

Hichki

Rani Mukerji played Naina Mathur, a teacher with Tourette Syndrome who pursues her desire of teaching young people. “Hichki” depicts her strong effort to be a teacher despite all obstacles. “Hichki” by Siddharth Malhotra is a wonderful story about imperfect people finding ideal connections and a teacher who never gives up.

Stanley Ka Dabba

“Stanley Ka Dabba” is a unique and interesting example of storytelling. Amole Gupte directed, authored, and produced the film, which featured his son Partho Gupte as Stanley. It takes place at a nearby school, where Stanley is picked out by his teacher, who is well-known for eating out of children’s tiffin boxes, for failing to bring his lunchbox to class.

Toolsidas Jr

In this heartwarming Netflix film, Toolsidas is a table tennis player from Kolkata who loses a match. As Toolsidas Jr. chooses to accept the challenge of learning this game in order to preserve his father’s honour and place the family name on the winning board, the plot picks up steam. Mohammad Salaam provides Toolsidas Jr. with the assistance he requires to overcome the numerous obstacles in his path and represent India internationally.
