In Telangana, the government has extended the lockdown for 10 days. Now there will be a strict ban in the state till June 9. However the period of daily relaxation has been extended from 6 am to 1 pm. Detailed guidelines will be issued soon.
Earlier, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao announced a 10-day lockdown on May 12, in view of increasing cases of corona virus infection, which was later extended till May 18. In addition, the state government is taking strict action against those who violate the lockdown guidelines.
Meanwhile, the state health department has reported that 3,527 new cases of corona infection were registered in Telangana on Saturday. With this, the number of corona infected in the state has increased to 37,793. Apart from this, 19 people have died due to corona. In the last 24 hours, 3,982 corona patients have recovered.
