Poonch: There are worries that terrorist strikes like the recent ambush on an Army truck that killed five troops may “repeat” in a number of different ways since Pakistan-based terror groups have developed numerous such plots to “jeopardise” India’s G20 leadership.

Top-level intelligence sources claimed that while there was “situational awareness” of People’s Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF), a Jaish-e-Mohammed affiliate, operating in that area and preparing something big, there was no specific intelligence of an attack similar to the one that took place last Thursday in Poonch. It was initially stated that the Army truck had caught fire for this reason. The plan, according to intelligence sources, was to attack an Army convoy, and measures were taken to deal with the situation. The five guys went shopping for food for the iftar on Thursday as Eid celebrations in the village of Sangiote were still going strong but had now been postponed.
A significant crackdown has been prepared

National Conference Leader warned against the arrest of ‘innocent people’
