‘This Universe Was Created In 2014 Only…’: CM Kejriwal’s Retort To BJP MLAs In Delhi Assembly

Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, made a jab at the BJP and the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a speech in the Delhi Assembly during the ongoing budget session. In response to criticism from BJP MLAs about the construction of 390 kilometres of Metro Rail, Kejriwal said that his government was in charge of the project. He observed that the BJP was quick to claim responsibility for any events that occurred after 2014, even though they were not their doing.

The chief minister remarked that this “world was formed in 2014” when he was interrupted by BJP MLAs during a speech outlining all the accomplishments of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in the national capital, alluding to the BJP’s return to power following the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

In the Delhi Assembly, Kejriwal stated: “I am Sab aapne. 214 me hui is srishti ki rachna. Unka (PM Modi) naam lekar kartey hain, hum to jo bhi kaam karte hain…” [You guys completed every task. Only in 2014 was this universe born. We carry out all of our work in Prime Minister Modi’s name.

Delhi Chief Minister emphasised the “Delhi model’s” success

In his speech, the Delhi Chief Minister emphasised the “Delhi model’s” success. He described the Delhi model as having a government that is educated, development for all, zero corruption, no inflation, free energy, free water, and universal access to good health.

He pointed out that whereas Delhi used to be known for scams, it is now known for its schools.

“Despite spending thousands of crores to prove the scam, the public does not agree,” he said in the Delhi assembly.

He also stated that his government has completed twice as much work in eight years as it did in 65 years.

Kejriwal highlighted the achievements of the health and education programmes and said that even though Delhi offered everything for free, the budget was still profitable.

The Chief Minister of Delhi also highlighted other achievements of his government, such as making women’s bus travel free and establishing Delhi as the nation’s capital for electric vehicles.

Also, he suggested building 5138 km of water pipelines in eight years, increasing the capacity of sewage treatment and water delivery, and constructing sewer lines in 747 colonies.
