In a major announcement, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has confirmed that 28,138 new vacancies will soon be available in the UP Police Department. The recruitment will cover various positions, including Sub-Inspector (SI), Constable, Jail Warder, Computer Operator, Radio Assistant Operator, and Accounts & Confidential Cadre.

According to the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB), the official notifications for these vacancies are expected to be released by the end of April 2025.

UP Police Constable & Other Posts – 19,220 Vacancies

The Directorate General of UP Police Headquarters has sent a requisition for filling 19,220 posts at the constable level. This includes:

PAC (Provincial Armed Constabulary) Constable – 9,837 posts

UP Special Security Force (UPSSF) Constable – 1,341 posts

PAC Women Constable (Badaun, Gorakhpur, Lucknow Battalions) – 2,282 posts

Civil Police Constable – 3,245 posts

PAC/Armed Police Constable – 2,444 posts

Mounted Police (Horse Rider) Constable – 71 posts

UP Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Recruitment – 4,543 Vacancies

Additionally, 4,543 SI vacancies will be filled through direct recruitment, including:

Sub-Inspector (Civil Police) – 4,242 posts

Women SI (PAC Wing) – Yet to be specified

Platoon Commander/Sub-Inspector (Armed Police) – 135 posts

Platoon Commander/Sub-Inspector (Special Security Force) – 60 posts

Jail Warder Recruitment – 2,833 Vacancies

The UP Police Recruitment Board has also received approval for the recruitment of 2,833 Jail Warders, with the official notification expected by April 2025.

UP Police Form 2025: Who Can Apply?

Constable & Other Posts: Candidates must have passed the 12th grade (Intermediate) from a recognized board.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Posts: Applicants must have a graduate degree from a recognized university.
