Uttarakhand issues guidelines for Holi celebration

In Uttarakhand, a maximum of 100 people will gather at one place for other festivals including Holi. In the detailed guidelines issued by the government on Friday, people have also been advised to avoid water Holi as much as possible.

In Holi and other upcoming festivals, people have essentially been asked to use social distance rules and masks. With this, Holi has been asked to avoid wet colors and not to use hoodies, fast music and loudspeakers etc. in public places.

Not more than a hundred people will gather. Only 50 percent of the capacity of the venue can be assembled. One has to follow social distance and wear a mask. There should be no unnecessary crowd. Persons above 60 years of age, children below ten years, those infected and suffering from serious diseases have been instructed to stay away from Holi programs.

Holi Meeting
Not even more than a hundred people will be involved in this. Only 50 percent of the total capacity of the meeting site will be used. Organizers will arrange thermal screenings and sanitizers at the venue. Admissions with cold, fever and masked modesty will be forbidden.

There is no scope of hoodling in Holi this time. Also, drinking alcohol in public, playing fast music or loud speakers is also prohibited. Holi will not be played in the settlement zone. There will be a ban on playing Holi in the streets and narrow streets. Also, you will not be able to use wet colors while playing Holi. Food items can only be given in disposable utensils
