Vande Bharat Express Ready for Snowy Terrain, Railway Line and Iconic Chenab Bridge Fully Prepared!

The much-anticipated Vande Bharat Express, now equipped with advanced features for cold mountainous terrains, is ready to tackle the harsh winters of the Kashmir Valley. Dilip Kumar, Executive Director of Information & Publicity, Railway Board, revealed that this train has been specifically designed to ensure uninterrupted operations even during snowfall.

Railway Board Prepares Vande Bharat for Extreme Weather Operations

Speaking about the enhancements, Kumar stated, “Safety features have been developed in the train so that operations are not affected during snowfall in the Kashmir Valley. The loco-pilot cabin and the screen have all been specially designed to meet the challenges of extreme cold. Heaters have been installed in the coaches to keep passengers warm, and the water system has been modified to prevent freezing.”

Although the official launch date of this special service has yet to be announced, all necessary arrangements have been completed to ensure smooth operations. The introduction of this train is expected to significantly enhance connectivity to Kashmir, providing a comfortable and efficient travel option for residents and tourists alike.

This development is part of Indian Railways' broader strategy to modernize its fleet and improve accessibility in difficult terrains.
