Visible Effects Of Operation Mukti

The effect of Operation Mukti Abhiyan going on across the state is visible. Giving information, Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh said that work is being done to connect the innocent people involved in many activities ranging from begging, collecting garbage, selling balloons to the mainstream of the society. Different teams of police are running Operation Mukti Abhiyan under the banner of give education, not begging.

638 children verified during the first phase in the month of March have been re-verified. In which 132 children were found studying in schools. Most of the 506 boys and girls living like nomads have migrated. After hard work, the team found 79 of them again, after counseling their families, they were admitted in schools. According to the SSP, in the campaign that started from April 1, public awareness campaign was conducted by visiting slums, colonies, villages, schools and organizing meetings. 263 children were admitted in different primary schools, Anganwadis of the district.

Anti Human Trafficking Unit has rescued 12 children since March 1. Out of which 11 children have been handed over to their families safely. Family members are being searched by admitting a child in a child protection home.
