His family, friends, and well-wishers in India are overjoyed and eagerly looking forward to his safe return. 

Speaking to reporters, family members of Shubhanshu Shukla expressed immense joy, calling this a “historic moment” not just for their family but also for the nation. “We will celebrate a lot once he lands safely,” said one of his relatives, visibly emotional and proud.

Shukla, who played a crucial role in the Axiom-4 mission’s science operations and engineering support, has become a source of inspiration for many Indian youth dreaming of careers in aerospace and space research.

Axiom-4 Mission Nears Successful Conclusion

The Axiom-4 mission, launched earlier this year, made headlines for its international collaboration and focus on commercial spaceflight research. The crew, after completing several groundbreaking experiments aboard the ISS, is now set to return to Earth, marking the successful conclusion of yet another milestone in private space exploration.

Axiom Space, the private space company behind the mission, confirmed that undocking is scheduled for today, following which the crew will begin their re-entry journey.

Back in India, especially in Shukla’s hometown, celebratory preparations are already underway, with schools, local organizations, and students planning tributes and felicitation events.

Shubhanshu Shukla’s contribution to the mission has not only highlighted India's growing role in global space missions but has also strengthened the narrative of young Indian minds breaking boundaries in cutting-edge scientific domains.
