Weather Update: North India as a whole has been experiencing chilly temperatures since the new year. North Indian plains are still shrouded in fog. In Delhi, the fog has lifted, but temperatures are setting new records and the cold wave is still causing havoc. Additionally, several states continue to have chilly days.

The Meteorological Department predicts that North India will continue to experience chilly waves and dense to extremely dense fog for the next two days. Its strength will then gradually diminish after that. Additionally, during the following one to two days, there is a chance of light rain in Uttarakhand, South Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, North Central Maharashtra, and Marathwada. Additionally, throughout the next two to three days, intense fog may also linger in certain regions of Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.

Delhi

According to the latest weather update, the national capital is expected to remain cold today as well. While the fog will continue to be intense during the late nights and early mornings, but, the sky will be quickly clear. The maximum temperature today will be 17 degrees, and the minimum will be 5 degrees.

Mumbai

Today should have better visibility in the city and its outskirts The haze effect is also probably going to lessen. Additionally, the city is forecast to see a similar weather trend for a few more days. Today's maximum and minimum temperatures are 32 degrees and 24 degrees, respectively.

Chennai

For Chennai today, IMD anticipates little change. Partly overcast skies and heavy humidity are expected to continue. For today, the maximum temperature will be 29 degrees and the minimum will be 26 degrees.

Kolkata

Today will be a little bit colder in Kolkata as the minimum temperature is expected to drop to 13 degrees and the maximum temperature won't get over 25 degrees. However, the IMD predicts a similar weather trend for the city for upcoming days.

Over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal, isolated rainfall is predicted. During the early hours, isolated locations over North and Central India may experience dense to very dense fog. In some remote areas over East and Northeast India in the morning, dense fog is possible. In certain isolated areas of North India, notably over Rajasthan, cold wave conditions are anticipated.
