Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted thunderstorms and moderate to heavy rainfall throughout Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), along with projected wind and lightning. In Mumbai, there will be likely clouds in the sky with a chance of light to moderate rainfall and thundershowers. The most recent forecast indicates that Ahmedabad will have heavy to extremely heavy rain on Thursday. The IMD forecast indicates that the state will see very good rain, but no heavy rainfall alert has been issued for Bhopal today. An advisory for significant rain in Kanpur has been released by the Meteorological Department.

According to IMD, there may be likely isolated areas of heavy to very heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand, Assam and Meghalaya. The India Meteorological Department predicts that there is a possibility of isolated areas of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. However, heavy rainfall is expected in several areas of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Odisha, as per the IMD.

The IMD predicted that there will be cloud cover throughout the day and that Delhi's high temperature would likely reach about 35 degrees Celsius. Madhya Pradesh is currently experiencing temperatures between 30 and 32 degrees Celsius, and significant rains is also predicted in some parts of the state. Moreover, the capital city of Bihar(Patna), Jharkhand (Ranchi), Uttar Pradesh (Lucknow) are likely to have cloudy sky with the possibility of few spells of rainfall.
