Weather Update: North Indian plains are experiencing the effects of the Himalayan rain and snow. The South Indian states, however, are expected to see significant rains. It is pouring in various areas of South India as a result of the effects of Cyclone Mandus. Heavy rain is anticipated to continue for the next two days across the states of southern India due to Cyclone Mandus, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The temperature in the plains of North India is steadily dropping as a result of the chilly winds blowing from the hills during the rains in South India. The temperature is swiftly dropping in various states, including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand.

Delhi

The skies are likely to be covered with minor clouds throughout the day, however, fog will continue to show its similar wreath in the mornings and night. Even still, the weather is not as chilly as it typically is in December. Delhi residents must prepare for the extreme cold, according to the Meteorological Department (IMD). For today, the maximum temperature will be 24 degrees and minimum will be 9 degrees.

Mumbai

The city and its suburbs are predicted to remain mostly cloudy. However, the chances of rain happening are very minimum. Also, adding relief to the natives, the weather is predicted to get clearer from Thursday. For today, the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees and minimum will be 26 degrees.

Chennai

Chennai will experience pleasant days in comparision to how the last few days have been. However, Chennai will again get lashed by rains beginning from next week. The maximum temperature for today will be 29 degrees while minimum will be 24 degrees.

Kolkata

IMD has predicted that Kolkata will continue to reel under the tag of pleasant days as there is no significant update. The maximum temperature for today will be 29 degrees while the minimum will be 18 degrees with no cloud cover.

Isolated rains may occur over Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, and Arunachal Pradesh. Scattered rainfalls is also on cards for the Andaman and Nicobar islands.
