Weather Update: The entire country, from the mountains to the plains, is experiencing bone-chilling cold. The Meteorological Department predicts that in the upcoming days, the cold will get even worse. The Meteorological Department predicts that over northwest India for the next 3 days, conditions of dense to very dense fog and cold days will likely persist, with some intensity loss after that.

The cold wave conditions are expected to persist across northwest India for the next three days, after which their severity will likely decline. Across the next three days, dense fog is extremely possible at isolated locations throughout the night or morning over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Uttar Pradesh due to weak winds and heavy moisture near the surface over the plains. There is a chance of intense fog across various parts of Rajasthan and Uttarakhand during the next two to three days.

Delhi

The national capital is predicted to turn even more cold today, as per the latest weather update. The sky will be briskly clear while fog will continue to show its intensity in the nights and early morning. For today, the maximum temperature will be 18 degrees while the minimum will be 4 degrees.

Mumbai

The city and its suburbs are predicted to be more clear today. The haze effect is also likely to diminish. Also, the similar weather pattern is likely to continue in the city for few more days. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 31 degrees and minimum will be 24 degrees.

Chennai

IMD predicts no significant change for Chennai today. The sky will continue to be partly cloudy along with humidity on higher end. The maximum temperature for today will remain 29 degrees as well while the minimum will reach 24 degrees.

Kolkata

Kolkata will turn a bit more cold today, as the minimum temperature is predicted to reach up to 13 degrees while the maximum will not exceed 26 degrees. Although, a similar weather pattern is predicted for the city by the IMD.

Fog will continue to cause problems in remote locations over Bihar over the next five days, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Assam, and Meghalaya over the next two days, and Nagaland over Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura over the next 24 hours. In Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, there is a chance of thick fog. The next five days might see cold day or severe cold day conditions in several parts of Uttar Pradesh, according to the Meteorological Department.
