Weather Update: According to the IMD, on February 4th, 2024, there is a high probability of light to moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall and snowfall over Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan & Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. On February 5th, 2024, there will be a decrease to isolated to scattered rainfall and snowfall, and there will be dry weather after that. Additionally, the forecast said that on 4, 2024, over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Rajasthan, as well as on February 4 and 5, 2024, over Uttar Pradesh, there would likely be light to moderate scattered to moderately widespread rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, gusty winds, and hailstorms in Delhi, Lucknow and other isolated areas. On February 4, there is also a chance of isolated, intense rain or snowfall over Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.

IMD forecasts that there will probably be isolated areas of severe rain or snowfall in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Thunderstorm, gusty winds (30–40 kmph), lightning, and hailstorm are likely to be present in isolated locations over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. There may also be isolated instances of lightning, hail, and Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and north Madhya Pradesh, as well as isolated locations over Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad. Over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi, there is probably going to be isolated pockets of dense to extremely dense fog. There may also be isolated pockets of intense fog over Odisha, Assam, and Meghalaya, as well as Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. Very probable, there will be chilly daytime temperatures in certain areas of Himachal Pradesh.
