Weather Update: As per the IMD, Cyclone Mocha will maintain a safe distance from the Indian coastline, but its cloud cover will gradually extend towards the coasts and inland regions of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and West Bengal starting tomorrow until the 15th of May. During this time, coastal areas may experience gusty winds, and there is a chance of light rain in certain locations. It is unlikely to cause any significant damage in any part of the Indian states. However, there will be heatwave conditions in Northern India including states like UP, Bihar, and Delhi.
The weather conditions across various regions of India are expected to bring rainfall and thunderstorms in the coming days. Kerala and Mahe are anticipated to have fairly widespread rains and thunderstorms. Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka, and Lakshadweep may see scattered showers and thunderstorms.
In South Interior Karnataka, Kerala, and Mahe, heavy rains are expected to lash isolated places. Additionally, isolated regions in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, and North Interior Karnataka may receive isolated rainfall along with the possibility of lightning.
Delhi
The IMD has forecast that the national capital, Delhi, will be sunny, clear, and bright. The warmness will continue to rise and the natives will experience a heatwave. The temperature will increase further from tomorrow onwards. For today, the maximum temperature will be 39 degrees while the minimum will be 24 degrees Celsius.
Mumbai
As per the latest forecast, Mumbai and its suburbs will be sunny predominantly while some patches of periodic clouds will continue in the evening. For today, the maximum temperature will be 36 degrees and the minimum will be 29 degrees. Meanwhile, the humidity will remain at 87%.
Chennai
The latest weather update states that Chennai will remain partly cloudy today. However, a major change is unlikely in the region. For today, the maximum temperature will be 35 degrees and the minimum will be 29 degrees. Meanwhile, the humidity will remain at 84%.
Kolkata
Kolkata is predicted to remain partly overcast. For today, the maximum temperature will be 38 degrees and the minimum will be 27 degrees. Meanwhile, the humidity will remain at 81%.
