Weather Update: The extreme cold wave is still continuing, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned for Delhi, the nation's capital. There has been some respite from cold since last couple of days, however, the relief is going to end and the temperatures are expected to go historically low.

IMD predicts chilly temperature ahead
Delhi residents have been advised not to put away their woollens during the current reprieve from the bitter cold wave because the IMD has predicted that the low temperatures in the city would return next week, starting on January 15, so they should keep them out.
According to the most recent IMD weather forecast, Delhi and other nearby NCR cities should see temperatures below zero degrees Celsius. In addition, this season is predicted to bring below-freezing temperatures to certain northern regions, including Rajasthan and Jammu.
In cities like Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, and countless other northern areas during the next 48 hours, the temperature is expected to fall below 2 degrees Celsius, according to the IMD prediction.

Weather Update for other states
On Friday, Delhi's low was 12 degrees Celsius, and certain regions of the city saw dense to very dense fog, perhaps as a result of the incredibly poor air quality. The lowest temperature is predicted to drop significantly throughout the following week.
In Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, and other NCR towns, a cold wave is anticipated to begin on January 15 and most likely last till January 20. The temperature will soon drop to zero degrees Celsius in the nation's capital. In the next week, severe weather may cause disruptions to everyday life in states like Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sikkim, Assam, West Bengal, Odisha, and Karnataka.
