Weather Update: The Amaravati Meteorological Center’s director stated in an official statement that there is a good chance that the cyclone will continue to be a “Very Severe Cyclonic Storm” for a few hours. Approximately 290 km lies to the east of Paradip in Odisha, 270 km to the southeast of Digha in West Bengal, 230 km to the south-southwest of Khepupara in Bangladesh, and 350 km to the southwest of Chittagong in Bangladesh, according to the statement as well.

The official statement warned that following that, it is probably going to gradually diminish as it moves northeast and crosses Bangladesh’s coast between Khepupara and Chittagong in the late afternoon of October 25. A storm warning cage at Pamban Port in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, to alert fishermen to the approaching Cyclonic Storm “Hamoon” in the Bay of Bengal. Odisha’s fisherman have also received warnings and have been told they cannot enter the water until tomorrow.
