Weather Update: Daily life affected as shift in weather rallies intense cold and snow, know IMD’s chilly update here

Weather Update: From January 24, 2023 to January 26, 2023, the Northwest area of India is expected to have significant snowfall and rain, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, East Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu are among the regions that might see rain and snowfall activities.

The lowest temperatures in Eastern India are predicted to climb by 2-3°C, according to IMD. Furthermore, it warned that for the coming 24 hours, there can be heavy fog in Himachal Pradesh and Bihar in the mornings and evenings.

The lowest temperatures continued to be between 6 and 10 degrees Celsius throughout portions of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan, Bihar, East Rajasthan, and northwest Madhya Pradesh, according to IMD.

Delhi

The national capital is predicted to be lashed by scattered thunderstorms during the day. The rainfall will be moderate but the region is most likely to stay cloudy. For today, the maximum temperature will be 18 degrees and the minimum will be 13 degrees.

Mumbai

The city and its suburbs will continue to have pleasant weather today as well. No change or shift in conditions has been predicted by the IMD for the region. The day will continue to be sunny and bright. For today, the maximum temperature will be 27 degrees and the minimum will be 19 degrees.

Chennai

As per the latest weather update, Chennai will be partially overcast by the clouds. The temperatures will continue to be similar in contrast with previous days. For today, the maximum will be 29 degrees while the minimum will be 24 degrees.

Kolkata

IMD has predicted that the temperature will climb up by a few notches in Kolkata. Though, there are no predictions for any significant change in the region. For today, the maximum will be 31 degrees while the minimum will be 18 degrees.

City-wise Weather Update

On January 24 and 25, there is also a chance of isolated, heavy snowfall or rain in Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and Himachal Pradesh.

Today, there is a good chance of light, localised rain in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh. On January 24, Himachal Pradesh on January 24–25, West Uttar Pradesh on January 25, and Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh from January 24–26, 2023, hailstorms are possible across Jammu–Kashmir–Ladakh–Gilgit–Baltistan, Muzaffarabad.
