Weather Update: The meteorological bureau forecasted a day of scorching temperatures and partly cloudy skies for Delhi, along with the potential of very light rain and strong surface breezes. The meteorological department’s forecast indicated that Delhi might have a maximum temperature of 44 degrees Celsius. According to the IMD, heatwave conditions are expected to persist for the next four to five days over northwest, central, and east India, albeit with a decreased degree of intensity.

There is a high probability of heavy rainfall in certain areas across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Karnataka. It is quite probable that certain regions of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha could experience excessive heat waves. Lightning and strong winds (up to 50 kmph) are likely to accompany a thundershowers in isolated areas of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi. Similarly, isolated locations over few parts of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan are likely to see lightning with strong winds.
