Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave and humid weather warning for northern states in India, including Delhi, the country's capital, as temperatures continue to surge. There is a red alert in these northern regions of the nation. The Meteorological Department reports that Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh( including Lucknow) could experience heatwaves or perhaps severe heatwave conditions. In addition, regions of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu, and Himachal Pradesh may experience heatwaves. It is anticipated that Delhi would experience a maximum temperature of 43 to 45 degrees. It is predicted that the temperature would stay as high as 46 degrees between May 25 and May 28.

According to the IMD, there will likely be isolated locations of heavy rainfall. The few parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Lakshadweep can have also heavy rainfall today. However the same is predicted for the parts of Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Karnataka. The winds between 40 and 45 kmph is expected to be squally along and off the shores of Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Gulf of Mannar, Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea and Lakshadweep. A blustery wind with gusts up to 70 kmph is expected to dominate over the major portion of the Bay of Bengal. The weather forecast for Patna states that the day would have partly cloudy sky with the possibility of rainfall or thunderstorms. However, IMD predicts the same situation for Ranchi as well.
