Weather Update Delhi to remain clear; Rains to spoil Durga Puja in West Bengal

Weather Update: Monsoon has withdrawn itself from a majority of North Indian states. However, the latest forecast is in from IMD, and the results could be disappointing for many. This is, because, significant rain is predicted in West Bengal on the occasion of a major festival i.e. Durga Puja. Though, a major festival in the state, it wasn’t celebrated due to COVID from last two years. As per the latest forecast, moderate rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall is predicted for Kolkata on the weekend.

Furthermore, light rainfall with isolated thunder is highly possible for next days. In the national capital region, the weather is expected to be clear with less chance of precipitation.

Delhi

The national capital region is expected to have a clear weather. However, a few showers are predicted to fall during Dussehra.

Mumbai

The sky will remain cloudy with moderate rainfall in the city. Isolated areas are predicted to receive thunderstorms with lightning.

Chennai

The city will remain generally cloudy through out the day. A few showers are predicted for the city. Earlier, heavy rainfalls had caused sever waterlogging in the city.

North India

States including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, and parts of Rajasthan will continue to have a clear weather just like the previous days.

Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha

The above mentioned states are expected to receive scattered rainfall. However, Odisha can experience heavy rainfall as well. The rain is more likely to get fierce during Durga Puja.

Northeast India

The seven sister states will receive scattered to moderate rainfall. Thunderstorms with heavy rainfall are predicted in isolated areas.

South India

States including Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka are predicted to have light rainfall. The weather could severe in coastal regions.
