Weather Update: Large areas of north India were enveloped in dense fog on Wednesday, delaying rail and flight services and triggering a car pileup in Uttar Pradesh as the region struggled with extreme cold and low visibility. A layer of dense to extremely dense fog continued over Punjab, Haryana, northwest Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and portions of Uttarakhand amid low temperatures, high moisture, and calm winds, according to the India Meteorological Department.
Delhi
The days are turning cooler for the national capital than ever in this season. While the morning will get covered in fog, the day time will also be cold. For today, the maximum temperature will be 19 degrees while the minimum will be 8 degrees.
Mumbai
The city and its suburbs will experience hazy weather with significant humidity. The maximum temperature for today will be 31 degrees while the minimum will be 21 degrees.
Chennai
As per the latest weather update, Chennai will be covered with moderate clouds in the city. Though, somewhat effect of fog will be seen as well. Rains are predicted to lash the city as well. The maximum temperature for today will be 28 degrees while the minimum will be 25 degrees.
Kolkata
The city will continue to be on the rather pleasant side. Daytime is predicted to be sunny and bright. For today, the maximum temperature will be 27 degrees while the minimum will be 16 degrees.
