Weather Update: The IMD expects that some portions of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Lakshadweep may receive light to moderate rainfall over the next two to three days. On February 2, isolated heavy rains, thunderstorms, and lightning are extremely possible throughout Kerala, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Rayalaseema, as well as coastal Tamil Nadu on February 8. Northwest India is predicted to be affected by a new Western Disturbance beginning in January, combined with easterly winds at lower altitudes. On February 2 and 3, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and Uttar Pradesh may get mild, isolated rainfall.

IMD anticipates dense to extremely dense fog in isolated areas over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi, as well as dense fog in isolated pockets in Bihar. Cold days occur in some isolated locations of West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi. Heavy rainfall/snowfall is extremely likely in isolated areas in Arunachal Pradesh.
