Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that the bone-chilling cold wave and fog will continue for the next few days. In its daily bulletin, the weather forecasting agency said that minimum temperatures in most of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Rajasthan, and in some parts of Uttar Pradesh, south Rajasthan, north Madhya Pradesh, and isolated parts of Bihar are predicted to be between 3 and 7 degrees Celsius. Dense to extremely dense fog conditions are predicted to persist for a few hours on the 13th in many areas of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi, as well as in certain areas for the next three days.

According to the IMD, dense to extremely dense fog is very likely to occur in many areas of Punjab; in some areas of Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh; in isolated pockets over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Northwest Rajasthan, north Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Odisha, Assam & Meghalaya; and in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Cold day conditions with a high probability of being extremely cold in many areas of Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh; isolated pockets of cold day conditions in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar There's a good chance that certain areas of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi will experience a cold wave or even a severe cold wave, and there may also be isolated pockets of cold weather in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Conditions of ground frost are very likely to exist in isolated areas across Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and Haryana.
