Weather update: As per the latest weather forecast, heavy to very heavy rain could be witnessed across Northeast India in new two days with a trough likely to stall over East India. Light to moderate widespread rainfall may continue over the region during the next five days. Another trough and its associated wind discontinuity can also cause rainfall over parts of Kerala for several days, In Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Rajasthan, dust-raising winds may prevail over isolated areas. Dust-raising winds are also high likely to prevail over Madhya Pradesh.
According to the weather service, over various areas of south India, the maximum temperatures may rise by 2-3°C during the course of the next 5 days. The period of May 15–18 will most likely see a dust storm over Rajasthan in northwest India. The IMD has forecast hailstorms and rain showers for northeast India.

The temperature in Delhi could go up to 37 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to be 27 degrees, as per the IMD. It's expected to be a cloudy day in the capital today.
Mumbai
The city will see a heatwave, as per the IMD. The maximum temperature for the day will reach 33 degrees, while the minimum temperature will be 28 degrees.
Chennai
Chennai is expected to have a sunny day today. The humidity levels are expected to remain at 84%. The maximum temperature is projected to reach 39 degrees, while the minimum temperature will be around 28 degrees.
Kolkata
Kolkata is predicted to have a cloudy day today. Rainfall is likely to lash the city from Friday. Humidity will remain at 80% while the maximum temperature will be 36 degrees and the minimum will be 29 degrees.
