Weather Update: All around the country, especially North India, winter has arrived. The minimum temperature has been steadily dropping. The transition to winter dresses has also begun. In the meanwhile, winter weather has been anticipated by the meteorological department.

Due to the snowfall on the mountains for the past several days, the cold is increasing in the plains. The temperature continues to fall in the states of North India including UP. At the same time, the effect of cold wave has started appearing in many places. The Meteorological Department estimates that in western UP, cold winds can cold. While there will be dense fog in many districts.

Delhi

The national capital will continue to be more chilly and have cold-weather impacting the natives. However, as per IMD, the sky is likely to be clear and mostly sunny throughout the day. For today, the maximum temperature will be 26 degrees while the minimum will be 8 degrees.

Mumbai

The city and its suburbs are predicted to be sunny and bright too. However, there is no major change seen in the weather pattern. Chances of rain happening are close to nil for a few days. For today, the maximum temeprature will be 33 degrees while the minimum wil be 25 degrees.

Chennai

Chennai is predicted to be mostly sunny, however, partial cloud-ness is likely to impact the city. City will experience relief from the rainfall for a a days more until it gets lashed again from Thursday. For today, the temperature will range between 30 degrees to 25 degrees.

Kolkata

Kolkata continues to remain pleasant irrespective of weather in other states. It follows the similar weather conditions. The sky is predicted to remain sunny. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 28 degrees while the minimum will be 17 degrees.

Andaman & Nicobar Islands will experience isolated rains .Scattered rain with isolated thunderstorms are likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, Kerala - Mahe, and Lakshadweep.
