Weather Update: The Shimla Meteorological Centre reported on Saturday that Himachal Pradesh is expected to receive precipitation ranging from light to heavy levels in specific locations over the next five days. However, the northern region is likely to continue with its heatwave. Meanwhile, IMD has also forecast that a new western disturbance will kick in from 17th-18th April and change the course of weather for few days.
A new Western Disturbance set to emerge on April 17 could potentially lead to rainfall on April 18. Additionally, the Meteorological Department has anticipated scattered precipitation in western regions of Uttar Pradesh on April 18 and 19. Meanwhile, on April 16, light rainfall may occur in Punjab, North Haryana, and Western Rajasthan. Over the next few days, the Meteorological Department predicts that Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathwada may experience mild to moderate precipitation and thunderstorms.

Wind and humidity will remain at the lower ends. For today, the maximum temperature will be 40 degrees and the minimum will be 28 degrees.

Chennai
IMD has forecast that Chennai will also remain mostly sunny throughout, and no relief is likely for the city for today. The maximum temperature will be 36 degrees and the minimum will be 27 degrees.
Kolkata is forecast to be a little cloudy today in isolated areas as well. However, the temperature will continue to impact the netizens with the ongoing heatwave. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 42 degrees and minimum will be 28 degrees.
