Weather Update: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall or snowfall at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh. This may lead to disrupted transportation and possible damage to crops and infrastructure. Additionally, heavy rains may also lash isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya, leading to waterlogging and flooding in low-lying areas.
In addition to heavy rainfall, the IMD has also forecast hailstorms, thunderstorms, and lightning over isolated places in Uttarakhand. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty wind may also pelt isolated places over several other regions, including Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. People in these regions are advised to stay indoors and avoid any unnecessary travel during the predicted weather conditions to ensure their safety. Meanwhile, heatwave conditions may prevail over isolated pockets of Gangetic West Bengal and Bihar.
As per the latest forecast by IMD, the national capital, Delhi will remain sunny and bright throughout the day. No rains or change in weather is anticipated unlike yesterday. For today, the maximum temperature will be 36 degrees and the minimum will be 21 degrees.
Mumbai
IMD has projected that city and its suburbs will be having a clear & sunny day. No major change is likely in the region for the upcoming days as well. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees.
Chennai
Just like Mumbai, Chennai is also predicted to have a sunny and bright day. Humidity is likely to remain around 80% with no clouds or precipitation expected. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 36 degrees and the minimum will be 28 degrees.
IMD has forecast a moderate heatwave morning for Kolkata. IMD has projected a sunny and clear day. Rains are projected in the city from Monday. The maximum temperature for today will be 39 degrees and the minimum will be 28 degrees.
