Weather Update: From Heavy Rains in North East & Kerala to Sunny Weather in Mumbai, Know full forecast here

Weather Update: As the country braces itself for the monsoon season, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted widespread rainfall and thunderstorms in several northeastern states. According to the latest forecast, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim are expected to experience heavy rain and thunderstorms in the coming days.

Meanwhile, scattered rain and thunderstorms have been predicted over Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, and Mahe. However, Odisha may face a more severe weather situation with the possibility of locally occurring hailstorms. In other regions, isolated rain is likely over Andaman-Nicobar Islands, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Rayalaseema, and South Interior Karnataka.

Delhi

The national capital, Delhi, is predicted to be pleasant today as mostly cloudy weather is on cards until the noon. However, from the afternoon, a partly overcast condition is likely. Humidity will be moderate and some chances of rain are there. For today, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees and minimum will be 22 degrees.

Mumbai

Contrary to other parts of the country, Mumbai and its suburbs will be mostly sunny. Some partly overcast conditions are likely after the afternoon. For today, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees while the minimum will be 27 degrees.

Chennai

IMD has forecast that Chennai will remain mostly sunny with some humid conditions. Some periodic clouds are likely in the city after the evening. However, the rains and thunderstorms will lash the city from tomorrow. The maximum temperature, for today, will be 34 degrees and the minimum will be 28 degrees.

Kolkata

After a spree of warm days in the city, Kolkata will finally get relief with scattered thunderstorms throughout the day. Partly overcast conditions are likely in other parts of conditions. For today, the maximum temperature will be 32 degrees and the minimum will be 26 degrees.
