Weather Update: Weather conditions across different regions of India are expected to vary in the coming days. Isolated places in Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep, Manipur, Mizoram, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands may experience heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms. In Rajasthan, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala, thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds are likely to occur at isolated places. Vidarbha, West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat, North Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana,, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, and Lakshadweep may experience thunderstorms and lightning at isolated places.
Additionally, certain areas in Bihar may face heatwave to severe heatwave conditions, contributing to high temperatures. Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Telangana might also experience heatwave conditions in isolated pockets. Gujarat, the Thar Desert, plains of the North, National Capital Region (NCR), and the eastern half of the subcontinent, excluding Northeast India, are likely to witness maximum temperatures exceeding 40°C.
Delhi
IMD has forecast that the national capital, Delhi, will have a sunny weather. However, isolated regions could experience partly overcast conditions in the evening. The temperature will continue to be in the range of 41 degrees to 29 degrees. Meanwhile, the humidity will continue to be at 24%. No relief is likely in the region for a few days more.
Mumbai
The city and its suburbs will have partly overcast conditions. The sky will mostly remain sunny. However, rains and thunderstorms will lash the regions from tomorrow onwards for several days. For today, the maximum temperature will be 34 degrees while the minimum will be 29 degrees. Humdiity will be 77%.
Chennai
As per the latest weather update, Chennai will remain mostly cloudy. The temperature can see upward trend in the afternoon. For today, the maximum temperature will be 37 degrees while the minimum will be 28 degrees. Humdiity will be 64%.
Kolkata
IMD has projected that Kolkata will remain mostly cloudy. Isolated regions could experience rainfall as well. This trend in weather is likely to continue for a few days more. For today, the maximum temperature will be 36 degrees while the minimum will be 29 degrees. Humdiity will be 77%.
