Weather Update: According to IMD, throughout the next five days, there is a chance for a 2-3 degree Celsius increase in the lowest temperature in northwest India. The rest of the country’s minimum temperature is not expected to fluctuate significantly during the next five days, according to IMD. IMD also issued a warning, stating that Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and portions of Uttar Pradesh are expected to have heavy fog. There’s a chance of heavy fog in a few distinct Delhi locations. Along and off the coast of Somalia, squally weather with wind speeds between 45 and 55 kmph with gusts up to 65 kmph is expected to prevail over the southwest Arabian Sea. It is advised that fishermen avoid these regions.

According to the IMD, there is a high probability of dense to very dense fog in certain areas over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Uttar Pradesh. There will also likely be dense fog in a few isolated areas in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, north Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Odisha, Assam & Meghalaya, as well as Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. It is quite probable that there will be cold to extremely cold days in certain areas of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar; there may also be isolated pockets of West Rajasthan and isolated pockets of East Rajasthan experiencing chilly days. It is highly probable that there may be isolated pockets of cold wave conditions in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, and Gangetic West Bengal. There is a high probability of ground frost in certain areas of Uttarakhand.
