Weather Update: The national capital, Delhi, recorded its highest-ever temperature in February of over five decades. This surge in temperature is continuing across the country as Mumbai too has gone beyond 35 degrees in the last week. Considering the latest developments in weather trends, IMD has predicted that North Indian states such as UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, and Haryana will continue to experience warmer days than last few years.
IMD has also issued a heatwave alert for the Kutch and Konkan regions. The rise in temperature also indicates that the arrival of summer is inching closer than what was expected earlier. However, an array of western disturbances is likely to impact upper reaches for a few more days now.
Delhi
As per the latest weather update, a clear and sunny sky is predicted to remain over Delhi. The afternoons will continue to be warmer with some chilliness still remaining in midnights. For today, the maximum temperature will be 31 degrees and minimum will be 16 degrees.
Mumbai
Weather trend for Mumbai indicates the day to remain clear and bright. Though, the temperature will remain the same as the previous days. No major change is anticipated in weather conditions in the upcoming days as well. For today, the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees and minimum will be 23 degrees.
Chennai
Partially overcast is predicted over Chennai for today. However, mostly the day will remain clear and isolated patches of clouds will affect the city. For today, the maximum temperature will be 31 degrees and minimum will be 23 degrees.
Kolkata
Pleasant weather is predicted for Kolkata. However, humidity is likely to be on higher end. Isolated regions could also experience minor cloudy sky. For today, the maximum temperature will be 34 degrees and the minimum will be 24 degrees.
