Weather Update: The Meteorological Department has stated that a heat wave could occur across West Bengal and Odisha today. According to the Indian Meteorological Department's (IMD) forecast, several parts of Northeast India are likely to get rainfall today. However, heat wave conditions are still predicted for East India, and throughout the following five days along with south India to see expectedly similar conditions. Rain is expected in various states, including Delhi, according to meteorologists. However the nation's capital city along with Lucknow may get heat waves , if it wouldn't rain today. In certain areas of Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh, there is a chance of light rain.

According to the IMD, there is a high likelihood of heat waves in various regions of interior Karnataka. Additionally, there may be heat waves in few parts of Bihar(including Patna), Jharkhand(including Ranchi), Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Strong winds are expected to occur in isolated locations across Madhya Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram. There may also be lightning strikes over Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra and West Bengal. It is quite probable that Assam, Tripura, Goa, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry will also experience hot weather.
