Weather Update: Due to the region's ongoing heatwave and high temperatures, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a "red alert" for many states in north India. The India Meteorological Department has declared that Himachal Pradesh will experience heatwave conditions for the next 48 hours. According to the IMD, there will likely be isolated areas of extremely high rainfall in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya, resulting in heavy rainfall. However in some locations in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, and Sikkim, there has been significant to extremely heavy rainfall. heavy rains across Kerala in several isolated areas. As per IMD, there is a possibility of Heat Wave to Extreme Heat Wave in most parts of the Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and isolated pockets of Jammu division. In several areas of Rajasthan, extremely warm nighttime temperatures are expected to persist.
