Weather Update: The Meteorological Department predicts that Jharkhand (including Ranchi) , Bihar, West Bengal(including Kolkata), Chhattisgarh, and northeastern India could see significant rainfall. With small rain showers occurring in some parts of India, the recent weather pattern has offered a respite from the heat. There will be some cloud cover and the temperature in New Delhi would be between 26 and 39 degrees Celsius. A heatwave warning has been issued for certain areas of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), indicating that the severe weather is expected to continue. The same is predicted for Lucknow and Patna. It is also anticipated that Kerala and Gujarat would see high temperatures and humidity.

According to IMD, there is a high probability of heavy rainfall in certain areas of Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal and Odisha. There is a high probability of hot and humid weather in Gujarat, Assam, and Meghalaya. There’s a good chance that few areas of Rajasthan will experience heat waves. There is a possibility of thundershowers in selected regions of Madhya Pradesh. The regions of West Bengal and Jharkhand are expected to see lightning and squally winds. There is also a probability of same in Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh. However there may be gusty winds (ranging from 30–40 kmph)
