According to meteorological department projections, Delhi's heatwave is expected to subside somewhat by April 22.

Weather Update: In some parts of North India, the Meteorological Department predicts that there will be little prospect of rain for the next six to seven days. But then again, there will be high heat from the blazing sun and heatwaves. The Meteorological Department reports that Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Uttarakhand could have rain and snowfall. While the national capital Delhi and the National Capital Region have been experiencing extremely hot weather, the Meteorological Department has projected that there would be some reprieve from the heat on April 22. On Monday, there is a chance of light rain and drizzle. The same is expected for Jharkhand’s capital city Ranchi.

IMD forecasts that there will probably be rainfall in few parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram. There is a high probability of hot weather in several areas of West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The state of the heat wave is widespread in selected regions that are likely to persist over some areas of West Bengal. There is a possibility of likely same weather conditions in its neighbouring states including Jharkhand. It is highly probable that in certain areas of West Bengal and Odisha, there will be warm weather conditions in the night.
