Weather Update: There's a good chance of isolated areas of heavy rainfall over Kerala and Mahe. Thunderstorm, lightning, and strong winds (between 30 and 40 kmph) are likely to occur in isolated locations over Kerala, Mahe, and Lakshadweep. There may also be isolated lightning strikes over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal. Over the Southwest Arabian Sea, squally weather with gusts up to 55 kmph and speeds of 40–45 kmph are prevalent. It is advised that fishermen avoid these regions.

Snowfall and dense fog in these regions

Over areas of Peninsular India, isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall is expected. Expect isolated to sporadic light snowfall or showers throughout the Western Himalayan region. The rest of the nation is anticipated to experience mostly dry weather. On December 7, there was probably dense fog in a few isolated areas across Punjab and Haryana-Chandigarh in the morning.

Due to the constant rain, farmlands in Odisha were flooded, which negatively impacted farmers and may have harmed the paddy crop that was ready for harvest in some areas of Southern Odisha. Farmers were previously advised by the state administration to move their crops that were ready for harvest to safer locations.
